What bores you?
Ah, the internet—our modern-day oxygen. A life without it? Unimaginable! But let me take you through an incident that shook my existence, tested my patience, and made me question my very will to live.
Act 1: The Disaster Begins
It was a fine morning. Birds were chirping, my coffee smelled divine, and I was ready to conquer the day. But the universe had other plans. My WiFi—my digital soulmate—betrayed me. No warning, no goodbye text, just a cruel, silent disappearance.
At first, I thought it was a minor glitch. “Maybe a router restart will fix it,” I told myself, like a fool. Ten restarts later, my router looked at me like, “Bro, it’s over. Move on.”
Act 2: The Struggle is Real
Without WiFi, I felt like a fish without water, a politician without promises, or a cat video without a cat. I tried using mobile data, but my network provider must’ve taken a vow of poverty because the speed was slower than my grandpa’s storytelling.
Out of desperation, I did the unthinkable—I opened a real book! My fingers trembled. Where was the like button? Why couldn’t I double-tap the words to zoom in? The struggle was real.
Act 3: The Descent into Madness
With every passing minute, I spiraled further into insanity. I tried talking to my family. A dangerous move. My mom handed me a broom, assuming I had suddenly decided to be useful. My dad gave me a three-hour lecture on how “our generation is addicted to screens.”
Left with no options, I stared at the ceiling, contemplating life’s biggest mysteries. What if WiFi signals are just ghost whispers? What if the Internet is secretly controlled by pigeons?
Act 4: The Awakening
Just as I was about to surrender to the dark side and start doing house chores (shivers), the WiFi returned. The blue light on my router blinked like a long-lost lover, whispering, “Did you miss me?”
I wept tears of joy, hugged my laptop, and swore never to take the internet for granted again. Within seconds, I was back to doom-scrolling, binging shows, and avoiding all human interactions. Balance was restored in the universe.
The Moral of the Story
Life without WiFi is terrifying, but sometimes, a break from screens is necessary. So, if your internet ever betrays you, don’t panic. Instead, take a deep breath, embrace the silence, and reconnect with the real world—just for a while, though. Let’s not get crazy.
